Last weekend I joined Jonathan Taylor at @ttrsir / @thejtgroup for a tour of the Newton Baker House, a historic estate in Georgetown designed as meticulously and vibrantly as its storied history – including Jacqueline Kennedy calling it home from 1963 - 1965 ✨With over 16,000 SF, 13 bedrooms and 13 full bathrooms, and technically three residences all thoughtfully attached to one another – selecting a few moments from our grand tour was a challenge! My favorite details, in no particular order:- The primary suite in the main house, which is lined with show stopping parquet floors, a bathroom that can rival any spa, and French doors that lovingly open to a private balcony 😍- The sun-drenched central staircase, softened with charming moments like an arched pocket door and details original to the home’s construction in 1794 🌞- The gold leaf ceiling in the dining room – because why not! ⭐️- The grand entertainment room in the second residence, which is an exact replica of 20 St James Square in London (I also loved the arched and ornate hallway that led to this space!) 🇬🇧- The primary suite in the second residence, which boasts an impressive view of the Washington Monument 🔎- The closet of the primary bedroom in the third residence had a private balcony, and I could definitely see myself spending a morning there ☕️- I also loved catching unique glimpses of Georgetown rooftops through each of the windows – it reminded me of those snapshots you catch from above in Paris 🥹Comment “listing” for additional details! 🩵#dcrealestate #luxuryrealtor #sothebysrealestate #dmvrealestate #georgetowndc
