My take on Idaho winters as someone who has been here 27 years. ⬇️In my opinion, the winters are mild here. We get little periods where it will snow for a week or two at most and then the sun will come out and melt it all away again. ☀️You do need to have a snow shovel or snow plow ready to go to clear your driveway because like I said, when the snowstorm hits, it typically lasts for a week and you don’t want the snow to turn to ice in your driveway. 🥶The main roads are cleared up fairly quick with the city snowplows responding accordingly every time.As for the neighborhood roads. One thing I have noticed is that there always seems to be a few neighbors that have a 4x4 ready to save the day. So the sidewalks tend to be cleared up. However, it is your responsibility as a homeowner to clear the sidewalk in front of your house. So if you are moving from somewhere sunny like AZ or CA, I wouldn’t stress too much about Idaho winters. Just make sure to bundle up. 😊If you are considering a move to Idaho comment the word “guide” and I’ll send you my free Idaho relocation guide.Hi, my name is Tim Smith with Living in Idaho at LPT Realty and I’d love to be your go to Idaho Real Estate Dude.
