A long-awaited connection between Uptown and Memorial Park is finally happening. Construction starts in 2026 on a $22 million pedestrian and bike bridge linking the Galleria area to the west side of the park.The project includes an elevated boardwalk through the treetops, a 14-foot-wide suspension bridge over Buffalo Bayou, and a safer crossing at Woodway Drive.It’s one of the largest trail infrastructure projects in Texas and a huge win for walkability, safety, and access to green space in Houston.Would you use this new route?
